A power outage that started on Tuesday at Crescent Electric has left more than half of the town without electricity, CNN affiliate KCRA reported.
The outage was first reported by the Kansas City Star on Monday.
But a spokeswoman for Kansas City, Missouri-based Crescent Electric told KCRA that it’s working to restore power.
A local emergency operations center said on Tuesday that the outage was expected to be over by Wednesday afternoon.
The outage affected a small swath of the city, but there was no immediate indication whether that was a cause for concern.
A few hundred residents were without power on Tuesday night, according to the Associated Press.
KCCI reported that at least six homes and businesses were without water service.
“The damage is still out there and there’s a lot of people who don’t have power,” KCRA said.
